Support Services

 

Captain Montgomery started with the Duluth Police Department in 1992. He has worked in the uniform division as a Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. In September of 2022, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and was assigned as Division Commander of Support Services.

Captain Montgomery manages the operations of the Records department, Court security, Communications, property and evidence storage, Crime Scene Unit (CSI), and facility maintenance. Captain Montgomery is also over Fleet operations and manages all the police department patrol vehicles, as well as the City of Duluth fleet vehicles. Additional duties that Captain Montgomery provides project management for the CAD and RMS system, and implementation, and purchasing of new technology and specific software systems.
